Development of electronic trade discussed in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Issues of development of electronic trade in Kazakhstan were discussed at the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin.
According to the ministers, the market of electronic trade of Kazakhstan in 2019 increased 1.8 times amounting to 700 billion tenge.
The share of electronic trade in the general retail trade increased from 2.9% in 2018 to 3.7% in 2019.
The volume of purchases on Kazakhstani online stores made 422 billion tenge, on international online stores - 280 billion tenge.
Accessories and equipment (35%), cosmetics (30%), goods for home (15%) and clothes and shoes (10%) were the most popular goods.
There were 3.2 million active online consumers in Kazakhstan in 2019 (2.3 million in 2018).
Export of Kazakh goods through online trade reached to $5 million. 36,800 jobs were created in 2019 in the electronic trade sphere.
