President Tokayev briefed on effectiveness of national holdings of Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Natalya Godunova, chairwoman of the Accounts Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Republican Budget, Akorda reported.
The head of state was informed about the results of analyses of effectiveness of activities of the national holdings of the country.
According to the information of Godunova, systematic problems and shortcomings were revealed as a result of works. In particular, a share of quasi-public sector of the economy is not decreasing, she said.
The quasi-public subjects largely depend on the support of the state budget, she said.
According to her, a lack of transparency in the procedure of purchases still exist.
Godunova proposed to optimize the national holdings, including on elimination of some companies of quasi-public sector.
The President positively assessed the work of the Accounts Committee.
