5-magnitude earthquake jolts northern Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Earthquake with 5 magnitude in the epicenter was registered today in Kyrgyzstan, the seismology institute of the National Academy of Sciences reported. The quake occurred at 9:31 local time.
The epicenters was located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan 14 km south of the village of Kurgak, 15 km south-west of Tash-Koroo village, 15 km south of the Enilchek, 37 km north-east of Ak-Shyirak village, 90 km south-east of Karakol town.
Tremors in the villages of Kurgak, Tash-Koroo and Enilchek were felt at about 4.5 magnitude, in Koiluu-Saz - 3.5, in Karakol - 2.5.
