Kordai district disorders. Humanitarian aid for affected Kazakh citizens discussed in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The extraordinary session was held on February 9 in Bishkek to consider assistance to the affected citizens of Kazakhstan crossing into Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting was attended by members of the Parliament, experts and officials of the President's Office, Association of Dunghans, management of the Assembly of Peoples of Kyrgyzstan.
Provision of humanitarian aid to Kazakh nationals arriving in Kyrgyzstan was discussed at the meeting.
Massive disorders occurred in the villages of Kordai district of Kazakhstan on February 7. The villages hit by the disorders lie in a close proximity to Kyrgyzstan. Hundreds of families fled to Kyrgyzstan. Some of them were taken to a hospital in Tokmok.
According to the State Border Serivce, more than 4,000 citizens of Kazakhstan crossed into Kyrgyzstan using the Ken-Bulun and Tokmok border crossing points on February 7-8.
