President Tokayev blames provocateurs for bloodshed in Kordai district

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said the government officials who allowed the tragedy would be punished. He blamed the provocateurs and passiveness of government officials for the bloodshed.
"I receive many complaints from citizens these days. I have seen the video address of the Dughan boy. I answer: my task is to ensure peace and accord in our country," the President said on Twitter.
He also added those injured will receive the state support.
"Peace and accord is our wealth and nobody can undermine them!" Tokayev underscored.
The massive fight between locals occurred in Masanchi village, Kordai district, Jambyl region on February 7. The mass disorders then spread to the neighboring villages of Aukhatty and Bolan-Batyr. 10 people were killed. 137 people sought medical assistance. Dozens of houses, cars and stores were burnt or destroyed.
