AKIPRESS.COM - The epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is stable. This information came from the meeting of the national coordination office for coronavirus prevention held by Vice Prime Minister Altinai Omurbekova. As of February 8, no confirmed coronavirus cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Health Kosmobek Cholponbaev said.
"Every person arriving from the country with unfavorable epidemiological situation is scanned with a thermal camera and samples of respiratory secrets are tested. These actions are taken in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization," the Minister said.
The National Viral Laboratory is prepared to make necessary tests according to the international standards. It has been accredited by the World Health Organization, the Minister said.
The isolation facilities have been prepared at the border crossing points, including a 100-bed facility on the Torugart border crossing point with China, 100-bed facility on the Irkeshtam border crossing point with China, 83-bed facility at Manas Airport, 30-bed facility at Osh airport.
