Health Ministry of Kazakhstan urges local media not to spread unreliable information about coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - Spokesman of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan Dias Akhmetsharip commented on the alleged coronavirus-infected student from Nur-Sultan, zakon.kz reported.
"A rumor about a student infected by coronavirus appeared on media yesterday. The check revealed no coronavirus. Some journalists and editors are spreading rumors on their Telegram channels instead of sending a request to us. We strongly urge media to immediately send a request to us if you heard something," Akhmetsharip noted.
He also commented on the information about hospitalization of a woman with the suspected coronavirus in Nur-Sultan.
According to him, this patient was delivered to the medical facility of Nur-Sultan, where she was checked up by doctor and diagnosed.
As a result, she was not diagnosed coronavirus and acute respiratory infection, the spokesman noted.
