Lawmaker says municipal structures should report on expenditures spent for fighting smog in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Irina Karamushkina (SDPK party) said there are bodies dealing with smog issue in Bishkek but there is no any institute on risk evaluation.
"No risk evaluation was made. We have a plan on fighting smog, but we do not have any indicator of when and in what cases the quality of air improves," she said at the Parliament session today.
The parliamentarian added that the municipal bodies should provide to the population a report on expenditures that are allocated for smog combating.
Karamushkina also proposed to consider the proposal of ecologist Emil Shukurov, who suggested to create an air passage in one of the streets of Bishkek.
