AKIPRESS.COM - There is no need to launch reinforced sanitary control on the borders of Kazakhstan with Russia and Kyrgyzstan due to coronavirus, RIA Novosti reported with reference to Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Elzhan Birtanov. He said Kazakhstan does not control the border with these two countries according to the EAEU norms. The countries should control the external borders of the Union and exchange information with each other, he explained.
"There are only border guards there. Kyrgyzstan and Russia are not countries with unfavorable condition in terms of coronavirus, therefore, there is no need to toughen sanitary control," the Minister said.
In this regard, Birtanov noted that additional sanitery specialists are sent to the border posts with Russia and Kyrgyzstan, but thermal check up is not necessary there.
