The decision was taken today at the meeting of the state emergency situations commission.
Head of the State Agency for Emergency Situations of Mongolia major general T. Badral voiced the decision at the session.
"The situation becomes difficult. Coronavirus infection is growing every day in the world. The number of infected is rising to 1,000 people a day, while the number of mortality - to about 60. In this regard, the World Health Organization concluded that the infection is on the peak. Therefore, import of chicken and meat products was prohibited," he said.
