Kyrgyzgidromet says air is not clean in Bishkek but no need to impose emergency

AKIPRESS.COM - The air in Bishkek is not clean, but it does not mean that an emergency mode should be introduced, Chairperson of the Kyrgyzgidromet Meerim Asanbai kyzy told the Birinchi Radio.
Chief of the Chui-Bishkek territorial department of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry Ayazbek Kydyrgychev said that a number of proposals were made on air pollution issue, but their implementation is difficult due to the lack of funds.
According to him, one of the proposals was to eliminate the tariff quota for winter season.
The issue of gasification is not also resolved. Due to the high prices for gasification, not all citizens can afford it. The issue of supply of a high quality coal was among other proposals, he said.
The participants of the meeting told about measures taken to prevent the air pollution and holding the raids.
