Kyrgyz government to consider provision of humanitarian aid to China

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev chaired a government meeting on prevention of transmission and spread of coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, the government said on Feb 3. Kyrgyzstan is focused on close cooperation with Chinese side in order to overcome coronaviral infection, the government said.
"Chinese authorities are taking active measures to prevent the spread of the virus and minimize damage from it. The Foreign Ministry, Health Ministry and Emergencies Ministry must consider the provision of humanitarian aid to Chinese side," said Prime Minister.
Following the meeting, Abilgaziyev gave a number of instructions to monitor the epidemiological situation every day and control over persons who arrived from China and other countries.
The Foreign Ministry was instructed to continue the work with the citizens of Kyrgyzstan in China and provide all necessary support for the protection of their rights and health.
