Tajikistan quarantines 285 people after return from China

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 285 citizens of Tajikistan are held in medical facilities under observation of health professionals after they returned from China, the Ministry of Health and Social Security of Tajikistan said. The death toll from the new coronavirus reached 361 in China, 17,238 people are infected.
Those who returned from China since mid-January, included students, entrepreneurs and workers of Chinese companies - citizens of China and Tajikistan, Health Minister Mirhamuddin Kamolzoda told Radio Ozodi.
Coronavirus was not diagnosed in those returning from China, the Health Minister said.
The Ministry of Health and Social Security ordered to quarantine the citizens arriving from China during 14 days. If coronavirus symptoms develop, such patient will be transferred to isolation ward.
The people returned from China are held under medical observation at hospitals in Dushanbe, Khujand, Bohtar, Kulob.
The Tajik authorities said earlier the flights to China and from will be stopped over the coronavirus outbreak.
