Transport Ministry adopts transport development concept for 2020-2024

AKIPRESS.COM - Transport Minister Janat Beishenov adopted transport development concept of Kyrgyzstan for 2020-2024 on Jan 15. According to the document, to date the vehicle fleet of Kyrgyzstan reached 1.3 million vehicles, including about 1 million cars, 170,000 trucks and 50,000 buses and minibuses.
About 350 legal entities providing passenger transportation services are involved in the motor transport industry, including 70 legal entities engaged in passenger transportation, as well as over 20,000 private entities for the transportation of goods and 70 stations, including 28 are state-owned stations.
According to the route network of bus transportation in Kyrgyzstan, 995 bus routes operated in 2019, including 20 international routes, 282 intercity, 420,420 suburban and 273 city routes. The total length of the routes reached 55,000 km. About 10,000 buses operate daily on these routes," the statement said.
