Kazakhstan plans to launch guaranteed minimum pension by 2028

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan Birzhan Nurymbetov at a roundtable discussion of the Senate told about the guaranteed minimum pension, which is planned to be launched from 2028, Liter.kz reported.
According to him, the guaranteed minimum pension will be much more than the existing basic pension of the Kazakhstanis.
The citizens will start receiving the guaranteed minimum pension depending on their work employment record.
"Today the government and the National Bank are taking measures to develop a pension system. The government should provide the guaranteed minimum pension," the Minister noted.
A special working group has prepared a proposal to President to launch the guaranteed minimum pension from 2028.
Kazakhstanis today receive pension in the size of about 54% of the minimum wage, if their employment record is less than 10 years.
