Health Minister of Kazakhstan says set of measures were taken to prevent coronavirus spread

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov at the goverment session on January 28 spoke about measures taken to prevent the importation and spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Prime Minister reports.
As of today, 4,515 confirmed cases of new coronavirus pneumonia have been recorded in 30 provinces of China, of which 106 are fatal, the Minister noted.
According to him, chief sanitary doctor of the country decided to strengthen sanitary control in order to prevent the spread of infection in Kazakhstan on January 6.
First of all, sanitary control measures have been strengthened at airports and railway stations, and countermeasures have been taken to import and spread the coronavirus into the country, Birtanov said.
To date, 25,858 people have arrived from China.
