AKIPRESS.COM - Construction of the international airport of Turkestan, which is located 16 km from the Shaga town, will be finished in September 2020, the regional authorities promise.
The foundation of the airport terminal is about to complete, the website of the regional administration said.
The airport will occupy 900 ha of land. There will be a terminal, which will serve about 3 million passengers a year, an air strip and other facilities.
Construction of the airport will be fully completed in September by a Turkish company YDA Group, the statement says.
