Kazakhstan closes 49 highways due to severe weather conditions

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 49 highways with the length of 5,320 km have been closed in Kazakhstan due to snowtorms, zakon.kz reported. This is almost 25% of all roads of republican subordinance, the report says.
Most of them are in Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions.
749 cleaning machineries are mobilized in the country.
Authorities strongly recommend citizens to be careful while moving on the roads.
