Second phase of Bishkek roads' reconstruction project to start in spring

AKIPRESS.COM - The implementation of the second phase of the Bishkek road reconstruction project on a Chinese grant will start in the spring 2020, said the deputy head of Bishkek capital construction department Ulan Uezbayev on air of Birinchi Radio on Jan 15.
The second stage covers 60 streets and 5 bridges.
"Currently, the contractor is being determined. The roads of 28 streets of residential areas, 32 Bishkek streets will be built or reconstructed, as well as South highway will be prolonged until Sokuluk district. This will be ring road," said Uezbayev.
Uezbayev added that Jukeyeva-Pudovkina street is planned to be reconstructed in the summer, as well as reconstruction works will be held on Kokchetavskaya street and residential areas.
According to him, some residential areas do not have public transport due to lack of roads.
