6,663 traffic accidents occurred in Kyrgyzstan in 2019

AKIPRESS.COM - 6,663 traffic accidents occurred in Kyrgyzstan in 2019, said the chief of road police Azamat Israilov. 759 people died in traffic accidents and 10,315 people were injured.
A number of traffic accidents increased by 11.1% in 2019 comparing to the previous year and number of injured in traffic accidents increased by 12.6%.
The Unified Register of Violation has been operating since start of 2019. All traffic accidents, regardless of the severity of consequences are recorded in the Unified Register. Therefore, even victims of accidents received abrasions and scratches, they will be included in state statistics. In this regard, the number of accidents has increased," he said.
Israilov also named inexperienced drivers, narrow roads and increase of cars as other possible reasons for traffic accidents grow.
