Parents of children accuse Bishkek kindergarten administration of theft of food products, demand dismissal of director

AKIPRESS.COM - Parents of children attending the kindergarten No. 5 in Bishkek demand dismissal of kindergarten director Dinara Mazymkanova.
The parents accused the kindergarten administration of violations and theft of food products intended for children.
Parents said they earlier complained to the Ministry of Education and Science asking to take sanctions against the kindergarten director. The Ministry sent a commission to the kindergarten that found violations, but Mazymkanova still remained in office, parents told reporters.
Human rights defender Anara Dautalieva, who was member of the commission, said children are held in bad conditions. Kindergarten workers take away meat and butter.
Parents demand meeting with Bishkek mayor and local council members.
Bishkek education department chief Saule Meirmanova told protesters the kindergarten director is on sick leave. "We have many questions to the director, we will ask them when is back to work," Meirmanova promised.
