Bishkek plans to increase parking tariffs

AKIPRESS.COM - The parking tariffs are planned to be increased in Bishkek, said the director of ‘Bishkek parking lots' municipal enterprise Islam Momokonov at the press conference in Bishkek on Jan 14. According to him, the separation of the city into three zones has been submitted for consideration to the Bishkek local council.
The first zone is a center bounded by Molodaya Gvardia-Frunze-Ibraimova and Bokonbayeva streets, Chui and Manas avenues. The parking rate is 40 soms.
The second zone is bounded with Jibek-Jolu- Suyumbayeva, Yunusaliyeva-Ahunbayeva,Bakayeva-Tolstoi and Fuchika streets. The parking rate there will be 30 soms.
"The parking on other city territories will cost 10 soms," he said.
Momokonov noted that the issue of paid parking places, a number of places and public transport stops is under development. "Following the study, we will present a list of paid and free parking lots," he said.
