Land swap not ruled out between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan: Deputy PM Razakov

AKIPRESS.COM - Territorial exchange is not ruled out between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, said Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jenish Razakov.
Further boundary description works with Tajik side are actively being done, he said.
"The parties have different stands on some issues, we must further work on this issue. The territorial exchange is not ruled out for creation of more favorable living conditions for the two peoples," he said.
"We have villages where homes are located in chessboard order. These are such villages as Kok-Tash and Tash-Tumshuk. It's very hard for our law enforcement bodies to act in case of conflicts, because the houses are located in chessboard order, the local population is mixed up," he said.
