AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Nur-Sultan and the General Consulate in Aktau are studying the circumstances of extortion of money from citizens of Uzbekistan on the border with Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said. Citizens of Uzbekistan repeatedly complained about money extortion by unknown persons on the Tazhen border crossing point (Kazakhstan) for crossing the border "without any problems."
"The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Nur-Sultan and the Consulate General in Aktau are taking several diplomatic steps to reveal all circumstances together with the Kazakh side and to find a solution," the Foreign Ministry said.
