AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed concerns over the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
"Further escalation of the situation can lead to numerous human losses and large-scale humanitarian catastrophe, will destroy vital economic ties and communications and will cause irreparable damage for regional and global security," the Foreign Ministry said in its statement.
Uzbekistan stands for the maximum restraint and calls the involved parties to take political and diplomatic measures to reduce tension and normalize the situation in the region, the statement said.
