Turkmenistan vaccinating children against rotavirus, pneumococcal infections, Hepatitis A

AKIPRESS.COM - Three new vaccines have been included into the national vaccination calendar of Turkmenistan this year, including rotavirus and pneumococcal, Hepatitis A vaccinations, the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan said. WHO prequalified rotavirus and pneumococcal, Hepatitis A vaccines procured by UNICEF on the public budget funds have arrived in the country and free vaccination has started in the country.
Children at 2 months, 4 months and 12-15 months are vaccinated against pneumococcal infection.
Children are vaccinated against rotavirus infection at 2 months, 3 months and 4 months.
Hepatitis A vaccination is made at 18 months.
