Near 11,000 children receive New Year gifts from President Mirziyoyev

AKIPRESS.COM - Around 11,000 children in Uzbekistan have received New Year gifts from the President of the country at special celebrations. In previous years, the presidential gift included school items and sweets.
This year, the presidential gift includes a backpack, 6 school items, 20 items of sweets, stuffed toy and a chessboard.
On December 26, some 4,214 gifts were delivered to Tashkent, Sydarya, Jizzakh regions and Tashkent by trucks.
6,428 gifts were airlifted by Uzbekistan Airways to 9 regions and Karakalpakstan.
The gifts were handed over to orphans, children whose parents died during performance of their duties, children from poor families at presidential new year parties held on December 29 throughout the country.
