Kyrgyzstan stands for international cooperation in remediation of uranium legacy cites - Envoy

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan bade for UN Security Council non-permanent member for 2027-2028 in 2017, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to UN Mirgul Moldoisayeva said. The election campaign started already, she said.
"Kyrgyzstan has never been a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, but our country has gained a significant international experience of UN membership for years and was selected into elected bodies of UN and its special agencies several times," she added.
Kyrgyzstan was elected to UN Human Rights Council twice, Ambassador Moldoiysaeva said.
"We are signatories and depository of the Non-Proliferation Treaty in Central Asia, we stand for international cooperation in remediation and destruction of radioactive wastes, reclamation of polluted areas," she emphasized.
