Nazarbayev to continue leading foreign policy of Kazakhstan — draft decree

AKIPRESS.COM - The initiatives in the main internal and external policy of Kazakhstan will be further agreed with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports as a draft decree of the President as saying. The draft decree of the Kazakh President on conception of the foreign policy of Kazakhstan says that the President determines the main areas of foreign policy of the country and represents Kazakhstan in the international affairs.
"The determined initiatives in main areas of internal and foreign policy of the country are agreed with the first President of Kazakhstan - Yelbasy," the document reads.
The foreign political efforts of Kazakhstan are aimed at all-round strengthening of independence, defense capacity, national security, sovereignty and a territorial integrity of the country.
Kazakhstan commits to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs of other countries, the decree notes.
A conception of the foreign policy of Kazakhstan is indefinite. The plans of implementation are confirmed by the decree of the government and are updated once in 2 years, the document says.
