Corruption flourishing on railway roads — Dariga Nazarbayeva

AKIPRESS.COM - Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva was outraged by railway infrastructure of Kazakhstan, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported. Deficit of wagons, worn out infrastructure are giving rise to corruption on railway roads, she says.
This also affects the tariffs of transportation and the price of freights and goods for the population, according to her.
The parliamentarian also raised the issue of construction of the road in the country. According to her, only 3,000 km out out 16,060 km were repaired in the country.
Nazarbayeva stressed the need to set up a program aimed at modernization of vehicles, railway infrastructure and revise the tariffs and make them attractive for transport operators.
