President Tokayev receives governor of Turkestan region

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received governor of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev, Akorda reports.
The head of state was briefed on the results of social and economic development of the region in 2019.
According to Shukeyev, growth in the industry was 5.5%, in agriculture and investments - 25%, construction of housing - 30%.
The governor also informed about the process of preparation for the presentation of the city of Turkestan scheduled for October 2020, as well as a full completion of reconstruction works in Arys.
The President gave certain instructions on providing the targeted social aid, gasification and increasing the incomes of the population.
