One of the missing workers is mining foreman 35-year-old Omurbek Ishenbekov from Bishkek city. His family members are on the spot. According to his mother Saltanat Japarova, Ishenbekov is married and has 4 children. He's been working in the Kumtor gold company for almost 10 years.
Dozens of workers of the company are involved in rescue operation, special machinery is used to locate the missing workers.
The second missing worker is bulldozer operator Joldoshbek Junushov. He was born in 1972 and is from Issyk-Kul region. He has 4 children.
They went missing on December 1 at about 05:30 when the landslide occurred. On December 2, two off-road vehicles were found during searches.
According to Kalys Akhmatov, Deputy Emergency Minister, the search operation has difficulties because of the big volume of landslide. According to experts, the estimated volume of landslide is 12,497,000 cubic meters.
