'Government and mayor's office are sleeping': MP criticises government for inaction towards smog issue

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Baktybek Turusbekov (Bir Bol) at the session of the Parliament today criticised the government for inaction concerning the smog issue in Bishkek.
The social media users are spreading a video of the polluted air in Bishkek, he noted.
"Such a situation is observed only after 2 weeks of the winter season," he said.
The government is not taking any preventive measures in this issue, Turusbekov said.
"The mayor's office is sleeping, the government is sleeping," the parliamentarian added.
The lawmaker said that the government of Mongolia to tackle a smog problem proposed a free heating for the population during the night time.
