Head of Registration Service intends to sue media over leakage of Safe City photo

AKIPRESS.COM - The chairman of the State Registration Service intended to sue media, which published photo from the Safe City cameras. "We will file a suit against "Kaktus Media" as individuals," said Almaz Mambetov at the press conference in Bishkek on Dec 19.
According to him, it is necessary to determine guilty of information leak.
"This might happen to anybody, so this situation will result to blackmail and selling information. This is a personal data, so the law was broken," he said.
The leak of Safe City data occurred in the monitoring center of traffic police. "We also have an access, however there are video records revealing that center employees downloaded information and took pictures, although they are banned to use phones," Mambetov said.
The state car plate number 01KG578AСD was captured by traffic cameras of the Safe City Project used on different vehicles. On one of the photo the man driving the car and touching the breast of the woman on the front passenger seat was claimed to be Almaz Mambetov. The State Registration Service said later Mambetov could not drive the car at the time captured by cameras as he was in another place.
