Bishkek mayor’s office announces tender for second phase of Bishkek road reconstruction

AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek mayor's office announced a tender for the next stage of Bishkek road reconstruction under the Chinese grant, which will cover 60 streets.
Three companies Power Construction Corporation of China Ltd, Xinjiang Beixin Road & Bridge Group Co. Ltd and Сhina Road and Bridge Corporation participate in the tender.
The contractor will be determined on Jan 9, 2020. It is planned that the contract will be signed by the end of Jan.
The second phase covers 60 streets, some of which were not repaired since Soviet times. Rehabilitation of the roads in Bishkek is planned for 2019 and 2020.
Many of these roads will be expanded and reconstructed with irrigation networks included.
