'We can lose Issyk-Kul' — MP on poor work of sewage treatment plants in Karakol

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Maksat Sabirov (Respublika - Ata-Jurt) raised the issue of sewage treatment plants in Karakol town of Issyk-Kul region at the meeting of the Parliament today.
According to him, 1.8 million cubes of drain water is needed to be cleaned out.
"Now the funds are allocated for construction of sewage treatment plants, but it should be remarked that the drain water from 1 million 800 cubes leak out and fall into the Jyrgalan River. If a single droplet of this water falls to the lake, we can lose the Issyk-Kul lake," Sabirov noted.
Karakol will mark its 150th anniversary on December 20.
