Chingiz Aitmatov’s 91th birthday marked in Turkey

AKIPRESS.COM - The event on occasion of the 91st birthday of Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov was held in the Turkish city of Eskisehir, the MFA of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The event took place on December 10 and was organized by the Eskisehir Osmangazi University and the Society of culture and mutual aid of the Turkish Kyrgyz.
The conference was attended by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, deputy governor of the Eskisehir province, rector of the Osmangazi University and others.
As part of the event, a film about Kyrgyzstan, life and work of Aitmatov was screened.
