Mongolia, Russia agree on counter-terrorism cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - The Mongolian government signed an intergovernmental agreement with Russia on counter-terrorism cooperation during a meeting on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
Under the agreement, law enforcement agencies of the two sides will closely cooperate to prevent and suppress terrorist activities by sharing information on possible terrorist acts and suspected terrorists or terrorist groups, the press office said in a statement.
Mongolia is an East Asian country with a population of 3.2 million, and there is no recent history of terrorism in the country.
