E-ticketing to be launched in Bishkek public transport next week

AKIPRESS.COM - The electronic ticketing will be launched in the Bishkek public transport in the pilot mode next week, said the head of the project, representative of the ВРС AG company Arsen Kondahchan at the press conference in Bishkek on Dec 10. The public transport fare - 8 soms will be charged by cards. To date, the district administrations and municipal services are resolving the issues of distribution of three types of transport payment cards: for pensioners and beneficiaries, for schoolchildren and the usual transport card for all citizens. The citizens may purchase cards from mobile operators, as well as from Kyrgyzpost.
From now on, the citizens will get on the bus from the front door. The pilot project will last for a couple of months, in order to assess the feedback.
Kondahchan noted that payment card for adults will cost 495 soms in a month and 175 soms for children. The fare card is 50 soms.
