AKIPRESS.COM - 478 million som have been allocated for the oncology service support fund in Kyrgyzstan, Head of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund Elnura Boronbayeva said on December 9. According to her, 270 million of them are foreseen for the purchase of two linear accelerators.
"To date, 10% of the total sum - 27 million som - have been paid. The remaining funds will be implemented in 2020. The equipment should be established within 330 days and 220 days are needed for construction of a bunker," she said.
Deputy Minister of Health Madamin Karatayev also reported that the cancer diseases are the number two reason for population's mortality.
The government of India wanted to set up a Bhabhatron radiation therapy machine in Osh, but a bunker should be built first. It should be built by the government of Kyrgyzstan and a large sum of money are needed, Karatayev said.
Vice PM Altynai Omurbekova said that construction of the bunker requires $2 million.
