National Energy Holding Chief sees no direct link between CHPP and smog in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Ekmat Baipakpayev at the session of the Respublika - Ata-Jurt party today raised the issue of ecology in Bishkek. He asked how much the CHPP of Bishkek affects the situation with air pollution in the capital.
Chairman of the National Energy Holding Company Aitmamat Nazarov said that there is no any direct link of the CHPP with smog.
"If the CHPP is blamed, then the smog would exist long ago. But the smog problem started just over the past three years. Probably, there are some affects [of CHPP]," he said.
