Cryptocurrency mining companies must be regarded as investors in Kyrgyzstan: Energy holding chief

AKIPRESS.COM - Conditions must be created for any investor willing to enter Kyrgyzstan, even cryptocurrency mining companies must be regarded as investors, said the head of the National Energy Holding Aitmamat Nazarov.
"I have no relations with these companies, but I think we should not ignore mining companies. Today we have to reject them because of the lack of legal ground and electricity tariffs for them. That's why those companies went underground," he said.
Cryptocurrency miners need electricity capacities that would cover 3 regions of Kyrgyzstan, he said.
