Health care expenditures per person increased by 93 soms in 5 years: Statistics

AKIPRESS.COM - 10% of funds from state budget was spent on health care for the last 5 years, the National Statistics Committee reports. The health care expenditures decreased by 16% in 2018, compared to the same period in 2017. The expenditures per person for 5 years increased from 2,214 soms in 2014 to 2,307 soms in 2018.
The population of Kyrgyzstan spent over 6.8 billion soms for health care in 2018, including 73% of them were envisaged for purchase of medicine, the study shows.
22% of expenses were related to outpatient treatment, about 24% related to stationary treatment and over 54% with self treatment.
