Kyrgyz government to double stipends for students of teacher training departments since 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz government will raise stipends for students of teacher training department 2 times since 2020, Finance Minister Baktigul Jeenbaeva said in Parliament.
MP Janar Akaev said increase of stipends will be as big incentive for students as 30% pay increase for teachers.
"We do not have precise estimations yet, but according to preliminary calculations we have budgeted 20 million soms for 2020," Finance Minister Jeenbaeva said.
The current monthly stipend makes 800 soms (near $11).
