AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbayev proposed to provide all schools with camera and guards at the session on security of children, Vlast.kz reports.
Deputy Minister of Education Sholpan Karinova said that 1,931 crimes against minors have been registered in the country within 10 months of 2019.
The growth of crimes is recorded in Almaty - 46.6%, Zhambyl region - 27.8% and Atyrau region - 23%.
Video surveillance system is provided only in 74.5% of preschool institutions and almost 80% of schools.
The poor equipment with cameras is in North Kazakhstan, Akmola and Kostanay regions, according to her.
More than 33% of Kazakhstan have outdoor toilets: 30% of them are in Turkestan region, 59.7% - in Zhambyl region, 54.6% - in Almaty region.
Deputy Minister of Interior Arysrangali Zapparov underlined the growing number of sex crimes against minors in the country.
Saparbayev said this is a result of the lack of organized, preventive and systematic work of the state bodies.
The relevant ministries and bodies are ordered to decide the issue of providing schools with police inspectors until March 1, 2020.
