AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev said that one of the main sources of smoke in Bishkek is old vehicles. "We have 3 sources of smoke. These are old vehicles, dirty sand from mines poured on the roads and heating of houses in the outskirts of Bishkek. They should switch over to the gas heating," he said.
MP Marlen Mamataliyev said that the most of the residents are complaining on smoke problem. According to him, the Green Climate Fund allocated $60 million. The parliamentarian asked where these money go.
Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry Mirslav Amankulov said that these funds are allocated to the other spheres.
PM noted that the government is today considering opening of filling stations for electric cars.
Companies will be exempted from taxes for using electric cars, he said.
