German Society for International Cooperation to provide 477,000 Euros to boost tourism in Karakalpakstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) will provide 477,000 Euros for development of tourism in Karakalpakstan. This information came from the meeting at the State Tourism Development Committee of Uzbekistan.
The sides developed a joint action plan, which will include activities on diversification of local products made by artisans, increase of exports of handicrafts, improvement of infrastructure, opening of new tourist routes, improvement of the quality of services, promotion of Karakalpakstan as a tourist destination at overseas markets.
The main aim of the project is to increase the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan, particularly to Karakalpakstan, improvement of livelihoods of population.
