Turkmenistan’s police officers ordered to urgently lose weight

Police officers' theoretical knowledge and skills as well as physical shape were evaluated.
According to the Azatlyk radio's correspondents, one of the new requirements is that the weight of police officers should not exceed 100 kilos.
The Interior Ministry officers said that the new state of the agency "does not like obese law enforcement officers", who were given a month to lose weight. According to law enforcement officers, those who fail the task by 25 December will be dismissed.
In an attempt to lose weight, police officers in Mary are currently doing sports, including running on the stadium and playing football and volleyball.
The Interior Ministry staff has also been obliged to update personal records of their family members to identify relatives with a criminal record. Moreover, the police officers were also ordered to make family members employed overseas return to Turkmenistan by the New Year.
