Icicle kills woman in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - A woman died after an icicle fell down on her head in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reported citing the prosecutor's office of the city. The 60-year-old woman died immediately after the icicle hit her head while she was going on the sidewalk along the residential building.
Police say the investigation has been launched. But they said the death was accidental.
The building was commissioned in 2013. According to head of the district Altai Rakhimbetov, the cleanup and roofing of the house are carried out by owners of the building.
The features of the built roof led to the accumulation of an ice, which caused the death of a person, he said.
