International conference on cooperation of Islam and Christianity kicks off in Ala-Archa state residence

AKIPRESS.COM - Ala-Archa state residence hosts the International Conference "Islam and Orthodox Christianity - Peaceful Religions" on Nov 21. The conference is attended by the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, the head of the state committee for religious affairs Zairbek Ergeshov, Vice Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova, Interior Minister Kashkar Junushaliyev, head of the National Security Committee Orozbek Opumbayev, Russian Ambassador Nikolai Udovichenko, MP Ainuru Altybaeyva and others.
The event was organized for the analysis of the historical processes and current situation in the sphere of cooperation of Islam and Orthodox Christianity in the post-Soviet area, discussion of the general religious and cultural values of two religions, their role in the establishment of peace and harmony, development of integration processes in the Eurasian area.
The current conference is a follow-up to the II International Research-to-Practice Conferences "Islam in the modern secular state" held in 2017-2018.
The representatives of the state bodies, religious organizations, experts on the religion of Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Central Asian countries are in attendance.
